3.6 this morning. Been trying to get back into running with the goal of being back up to 28-32 miles a week where I used to be.

45 minutes on treadmill, 5.15 miles, so a smidge under a 9 minutes mile, and I was gassing. Non-lifting day. I am definitely not a runner. This was a "long" run for me. Haven't done more than about a 10K in my life, 7 miles at the most. I usually just do 30 minutes. That extra 15 minutes felt like an hour.

Those 33 Incotex pants would fit you if you ran more. [IMG]

5kms in 37 mins. I'm improving; I'm not panting as much at the end.

    Fast sprints today.

I tried to beat 65 sec 400 m today. Instead, it beat me. So, did a couple of miles in 400 and 800 m intervals considerably more slowly [IMG]

    a few feet, maybe?

see my other thread, I tried running for the first time in a long time and couldn't keep up the pace for a whole song!! GASP!

In total, I ran/walked about 6 miles today. Mostly walked.

Did another 5k today and timed it with the handy ipod stopwatch. Came in around 20 minutes again, which is improvement but still depressingly far from my high school PR.

How old are you? I think that "around 20 minutes" is pretty much the cap for most guys in decent shape who are not training specifically to get a faster 5 or 10 K. I have, during different times, been able to run in the 18:30s consistently, and have brought it down below 6 minutes miles even, but I find that, if I run an random 5 K road race, without having done anything particular special in preparation, that I'll clock in at about 19:30.

5.3 in just under 45 minutes this morning. First run this week, after an arduous weekend of manual labor. Funny thing - it was not easy but I didn't think twice as I continued my last loop around the 'hood.

4.5 miles in about 40 minutes on roads/trails--a little faster than usual. Humid as hell this morning!
