I finished a four mile trail run at 11:30 PM. The temperature was 20, with a feels like temp of 16. This was the most sluggish I’ve felt on a run in a long time. Between the cold and being tired and needing to poop, this one was rough. But running back down the hill towards the setting waxing crescent moon made it feel magical.

Ugh, AQI is 300 going up to 400 by 9a. I'm not sure if I'm heading out into that.

Got in an hour on the Peloton last night. I can usually sit at a 175 watt average for the whole hour but last night it dipped to 162. Was feeling slightly tired which is the likely case because any time I would try to increase my effort my body told me I was being an idiot.

AQI dropped to around 120 as the wind picked up so I went out. I hate a strong headwind.

Did a 30-minute recovery spin (at a mere 94w) and a strength workout last night. I was so whupped from Monday that I was drowsy during the spin. The workout is one I’ve done before with ease and it was a struggle.

10.5 miles this morning at 8:48/mile. Kept it slow and easy for the most part but had a bunch of 0:15 intervals in the first half and then a bunch of 1:00 intervals in the second half.

I am trying to figure out running and my new gig. I am Central Time and most people I will interact with are Pacific Time so a 2hr delay. Morning runs seem like the option and adjust my work schedule but once it gets hot, it takes time to cool down. Add into this being a parent and things get tricky...

Worked until 9:30 answering questions for outside counsel, so I didn't start until almost 10. Got bored during the recovery spin, so I took it off erg mode and pushed a bit harder. Also needed to do the yoga that's part of my training plan, and that's how I come to be here at 11:30...
