Did a somewhat leisurely 5k and then 20, 40, and 60 yard sprint sets.

Five miles, this morning. Snow and icy spots. Temperature: 20 degrees. At least, there was no wind!

6.7 miles in 54-ish minutes this morning. Felt okay, but this week has kind of taken it out of me.

As an aside: Monday was 35 degrees, Tuesday was 57 degrees, and today was 68 out there.

5.2 miles last night in 40 degree weather - I dressed like I was about to summit Mt. Everest.

I don't understand how you guys can run in real cold conditions - I guess it takes really huge nuts and determination!

Actually Monday was kind of funny: I read the temperature as 50 and thought...sweatshirt, I guess. Get outside and it was cold, a good bit colder than 50, I thought. Get back in the house, and realize the weather location was set a bit south of us. Turned out to be 35. There was ice in my windshield as I left for work.

For some reason, bundling up just doesn't work well for me: I gas out early, lose interest, whatever.

You just get used to it and after a while it doesn't bother you at all. Frankly, I would rather run in 35F than in 85F....

The day after Christmas....4 miles. I needed a good run after all the crap I ate (and ate and ate) on Christmas day.

Didn't get to run today - my son got a skateboard for Christmas and I spent the afternoon trying to teach my son how to ride, or at least to get both feet on the board without falling off.
