There is no 'standard' number of calories; obviously, you would burn more calories per pull up at the end of the exercise than you would at the beginning.... it would depend upon how vigorously you were working out, how long, etc... (If you do 1 pull up and quit - you probably burned more calories preparing to do the 1 pull up than the pull up itself).

Meh so despite the vast number of "experts" here no one has even a ball park?
BTW I know its not going to be enough to really be a fat burning thing, I'm just wondering.

It's kind of a dumb question.

http://www.fitday.com/webfit/exerciseinfopage.html Gives you calories burned per hour of calisthenics (of which apparently pull ups are included). For my stats, it says I burn ~500 calories per hour, or about 0.14 calories per second. One pull up takes maybe 3 seconds. So 1 pull up is 0.42 calories.

Yes it is, still I was just kind of wondering and thought it might be one of those things that has been worked out.

It's going to depend on your weight, a 200 lbs guy will burn more then a 150lbs guy, but it's really not going to be that much.

And yeah, this should be put in the dumb threads forum.
