How long would it take for someone to find your body?

So I had a rather morbid realisation:

If I died right now, it would be at least 10 days before anyone really wondered where I was and I'm 90% it would be the smell that brought people looking. I have a habit of going on trips without telling people, and I only work in an office two days a week, so missing them would be odd, but not that alarming.

This isn't some kind of emo thread, but it got me wondering just how cut-off from the world its possible to get.

So how long would it take for people to find your body?

I guess when I missed work someone would check on me after the second day.

i live with too many people. i had an aunt though in florida that took a couple of weeks. i guess people get sad about ending their lives that way but if you think about it they're already dead.

Yeah work would miss me. Not literally miss me but miss me because the work would pile up.

If I was in a hotel room, probably a day or two. at home, hours.

when I was a teenager, I knew a guy, sort of a family friend, who got divorced from his wife and lived far away from his kids. anyway, he died and we found him after about a week. we lived in a very hot place, and he was pretty disgusting by the time we found him.

I have my computer set to email notices of my death to everyone who knows me (dozens of people, dozens I tells ya!) in the instance I go for more than 10 hours without posting to StyleForum.

If I'm out for a trail run, the animals will find me before the people do.

I'd say two business days. I tend to disappear some weekends and not answer my phone.

Probably a couple of days. Work would wonder where I was, try calling, and without success would probably call my emergency contact (father). He'd try and not reach me, and maybe wait another day, but then people would start wondering since i'm not the type to just not show up and not tell anyone.
