How long should my trouser cuffs be?

I have a pair of trousers from Pini Parma with an unfinished hem and I am going to hem them with a cuff. I know how to sew so it's not a problem. But I don't know big to make the cuff. I want a very classic Italian style. Does anyone know what length I should go for? Inches or cm is fine
