3 minutes if I'm in a hurry, double that if I want to do any exceptional job.

My order:

1) Right Sleeve
2) Left Sleeve
3) Left Front
4) Back
5) Right Front
6) Collar

When I started, I used to do the front and back before the sleeves, but I found that it was causing some re-wrinkling on the front where the arm connects to the shirt.

If you are taking 15 minutes to iron a shirt, you either have a ****** iron, or you are an extremely OCD perfectionist.

I will say that by the time I have sat down and put on my shoes, the damn thing is wrinkled. This is why I love DB jackets. No need for slim fit or perfectly ironed shirts. I never unbutton. You see 10% of the shirt. Hell, you can leave it untucked if you want and nobody will ever know. LOL.

Inspired by the Iron Man movies, I am attempting to develop a metal suit to wear under ones clothing which will iron your clothes while you wear them.

I don't iron at all. I steam. Takes about 5-10 mins to do a good job.

BTW, if your tap water is "hard water", does it matter if you use it anyway? It was a pain ********** to use filtered water.

5 minutes for a "good" job of ironing. I can steam them faster than that, which is what I usually do (good enough for a day at the office).

3-7 minutes a shirt, depending on how wrinkled it is and how well it irons. I usually don't use a damp shirt, because I don't use a dryer at all and don't want to plan my day around when my shirts are ripe for ironing.

So, I use a lot of steam when ironing, which seems to be similar to a damp shirt.

You should try one of those fabric steamers, I have one and it works just great. I can knock out all my shirts in about 10 mins tops and it works great on my suits too inbetween trips to the cleaners.
