Picked up a suit for work but now Im thinking the sleeves should have been shortened.

About how long would this take? Its my only suit and I cant be out of it for too long, in case its needed for work

In case you can shorten from the end of the sleeve it takes 30 mins if you can make your tailor do it directly. In case you want to shorten from the shoulder it takes longer.

I have shortened the sleeves on every jacket I own. They are always too long.

Anybody can do this in fifteen (or thirty) minutes, I will, with witnesses, kiss his ass.

Not all sleeves are constructed the same so some take longer than others. Not all tailors work at the same speed.

15 minutes if there is no open vent or buttons and all the work is down by machine and even then, just maybe 15 minutes, probably longer.

Why not ask the person doing the work how long it takes.

Honestly unless you intend to stand there with a stop watch what's the difference?

You drop it off. They tell you pick it up on some day. You pick it up. If it takes the tailor 30 seconds or 30 hours you'll never know.

So unless you find a tailor willing to drop all other work to do it for you you'll have to get in line.

you too can do it in less than 60 seconds. all you need is a very large pair of scissors.
