How is the fit?

Friend of mine has an event for her 18th birthday coming up, and they're may be a few cuties I'd like to impress. I like the jacket's fit a lot, but the pants have me pondering. It's "Egara" from Men's Wearhouse that I got for like 75% off after renting a tux and other stuff. How's it look? The theme of the party is a Teal/ Lucerne Aqua Firemist-y kinda color, so yeah. Yay? Nay?

Suit is okay. Get the sleeves taken up, because they're too long. Tuck that pocket square in further -- like, a lot further. Pants could hang better, but aren't terrible. Will probably look fine in motion. When you get the jacket altered, bring the pants and have the tailor look at them.

I agree with the length of the jacket, it seems long. Plus the pocket square should just be peeking out and not too exposed. But kudos for getting it at 75% off.

You get no opposition from the ugliness of the tie and square, and I wasn't really paying attention to the squares placement at the time, but I have to abide by the color scheme. I don't think it really goes with the suit, but it's all I have since I just graduated high school. As for the length of the jacket, I was told before the thumb joint is around where it should land and cover your behind, which it does pretty well I think. I also have a fairly longer torso compared to my legs, which may have something to do with it, and I just realized the mirror is angled upward. As for the pants, it seems they hour-glass at the knee, belling out the shape of my legs. But you guys are the experts. Anything I can do to shorten the jacket to proportion me?

Yep, pants are a bit off. Seems to be some kind of balance problem, but I can't see much. In any case, it probably doesn't have anything to do with thigh/knee width, but with lengths at certain points (outseam, front/back, inseam) affecting drape. You'd need a tailor to judge that. As for the jacket, get the sleeves shortened. The body does not look too long, though shortening it a tiny wee bit might make you look more proportioned.

Jacket length is fine. Shorter is in fashion, but yours is fine. But get the sleeves shortened a bit. Need to see a bit of shirt cuff. Half an inch.

Agreed, don't mess with the jacket length; by any classical definition, it is just about right.

Yeah don't mess with the jacket length. People here have a good eye for this stuff but your 18 year old friends won't. Just shorten the sleeves like others said. You want some cuff showing and it looks way better.

A good tailor will be able to alter those pants a little and have them looking good. Nothing about the pants looks way off.

You should also talk to whoever picked that theme, haha. You're one color away from being the Miami Dolphins.
