I just realized that all of the hangers I use for my coats/outerwear, blazers and suits are not ‘correctly’ sized.
I use the container store contoured coat hangers that only come in 18” width...but I wear a 36S and Smalls. I read that 18” width hangers are really for bigger jackets (like around 40-42 chest).
Is using an oversized wood hanger still better than using the plastic ones that come with your suit/coat? Can an oversized (but contoured) wood hanger damage clothes?
