How I dress attracts golddiggers, how do I change that?

If I dress like you, will hos dig my gold?

Survey says . . . . doubtful.

Maybe there is something else about you. Do you ride a crotch-rocket or drive an entry-level luxury car?

Tell them you're an entry level accountant. All gold diggers will run at warp speed.

Or in IT. It's funny... No matter how much responsibility you get and how much money you make, people can't think of "IT guys" as anything beyond the guy that fixes keyboards/mice/printers and other idiotic problems. The other funny thing is that lots of higher-end techs make well over 100k. They might not make quite as much as biglaw lawyers or anywhere near what doctors or Ibankers make, but the frequently make substantially more than say engineers, "scientists" (ppl with masters degrees or better), or your average lawyer.

True. One of my best friends works as the regional sales manager for an IT security firm and earns more than $350k

True, but moot. I mean, we know you'll never have to worry about chics, let alone gold digging ones.

LOL, actually most think CPA = $$$ (not huge money mind you, but $100K or so)

I drive a cheap car and am not ostentatious. I guess just caring about my appearance and not acting like a fool most of the time does it? ; )

Yeah sounds like its how you act more than how you dress... Do you buy rounds of drinks? Buy supper? Throw 100s around? Give pennies to the homeless?

Nope, none of it. All I do is talk about how materialistic most people are and recommend books that advocate saving and investing. Serious.

No offense Pio, but I knew before looking that both of those posts would be yours...I guess a solid middle class job doesn't get you into the stratosphere ; )

No, it doesn't. Not that there's anything wrong with that, as I view myself as just "solid middle class." However, the thought that a "gold digger" is looking for solid middle class is ludicrous, particularly in SoCal.

Keep in mind, they're in college. $100K seems like plenty at this age. It's all relative I guess, I can see myself living happily on $60K, but then again I don't have expensive requirements nor have I experienced the things money can buy outside of a few nice watches and shoes.

ROFL!!!! Ahhh, the all-encompassing middle class. Where $40k/yr makes you "lower middle class" and just under a million makes you "upper middle class"

If you have the sense to dress yourself up, then you have the sense to dress yourself down to adapt to whatever situation you're in. This thread just seems like a self ego boost, you dress well and women are attracted to you, hooray.
