While most concious gents have stopped wearing white pants, seersucker jackets and spectator shoes, I find myself wearing all of it. The temperatures are perfect for it now (September) and as far as I am concerned, I am bending rules as long as I please. Summers in the last 10 years have been too blistering hot for me to enjoy my summerwear and I found myself wearing deck shoes, shorts and T shirts just to stay cool.
Anyone else find themselves bending seasonal rules as a result of weather chaos?
Can Manton or Will straighten me out before I become out of control?
    Have I lost my sensibilities?
Please discuss seasonal do's, don'ts and why nots and how they are evolving...

Around here, the San Francsico Bay Area peninsula and coast, we've had two unusually cool summers in a row.
This area has a very mild climate, but only today for the first time since a few days in June has the temperature
gone over 90 F- with very low humidity. We have an SF Meet-Up next week in "the City". I may be able to wear
    a tweed sportcoat.

It's 82 in Potrero Hill right now. Wearing shorts.

Yesterday's fit was a sky blue Guayabera, Uniqlo khakis, Boat shoes and a Panama. Nothing else. It's hot up here.

You are undobtedly the best-dressed guy in Potrero Hill.
    One of my favorite neighborhoods.

Dressing for a given temperature can be challenging enough, but in Canada, I find the real problem is the temperature fluctuations throught a given day. It can be below freezing in the morning, rise to 25*C in the afternoon, and drop back down again. I've begun taking my raincoat everywhere, even if the sun is shining.

LeviMay, we are experiencing the same fluctuations here in Toronto. Today for example, we have rain and a nice tweed jacket is in order. The spring, autumn, fall seasons create havoc. Yet by Tuesday we'll be back up into the high 20's.

Over 90F today at South Bay. Maybe summer just came to the bay area for the next couple days.

Expected to be in the 90's today and near 90 all week in these parts. I'll hold on to summer clothing a bit longer.

Sarcasm, I presume? I was in NYC in early July, and it was pretty damn hot. Not as bad as DC, but well into the high 90s.
