How well is Purple Label made? I have been wearing a lot of Brioni and wanted to know how it stacked up. I was looking at a cashmere sportcoat today that was on sale. Retail was $4400 marked down to $850. Sounded like a good deal, but I just wasn't sure If I was ready to pull the trigger, and wanted to get some SF opinions on it.

Made by Saint Andrews and on a par with all the RTW heavy hitters Brioni, Kiton, etc.).

Proceed with confidence.

In addition to St. Andrew, Purple Label also uses Caruso.

Do a search, there are NWT RLPL cashmere sportscoats in size 40/42/44 in the B&S forum for sale for IIRC, $450.

I agree. RL Purple Label is my favorite along with Brioni and Attolini. They have an amazing shoulder!

Fixed. The St. Andrews is among the top dogs.

I think I've sold all nearly all my Brioni but still have lots of RLPL in my wardrobe. Sure, most of that is fit-related, but RLPL quality is also top-notch, esp. the St Andrews stuff.

Does anyone know who makes the RLPL reindeer suede jacket? I've had my eye on it for awhile, and it does have the Made in Italy tag but I have no idea who specifically makes it.

The hacking jacket they do? Cantarelli, I think, but that's purely from memory so might be remembering wrong.

RLPL stuff are beautiful, never bought RLPL suit because I just couldn't find anything in 36 (bought a St. Andrew sports coat in 38 once, need to tailored quite a bit, and end result wasn't the best).

By the way does Caruso RLPL 38 fits like RLBL 38 or it's still roomier? That might be my only hope for RLPL...
