How fast do you consume a pound of bacon?

Decent looking thick cut bacon was on sale this week, so I grabbed a package. . . 1 lb. That seems like a lot of bacon for one guy. How fast do you go through a pound of bacon (as in number of meals)? I think I'll try to go through it in 4 meals, but that still seems like a lot.

I thought this was a competitive eating thread w/ tons of responses.

It depends what you're using it for, flavor or main ingredient. Bacon cooks down. A lb. (esp. thick cut) would do for a good bacon & eggs breakfast for four. Divvy it into 1/4's and wrap each in foil and store in freezer.

I killed nearly a pound (.8something) of REALLY thick cut pancetta last night on pasta carbonera...would have done the bacon if I had not stumbled across the pancetta (though bacon would have been less salty I think)

I haven't done bacon on my own in a while. I remember back in college 2lbs of bacon would be snatched up in about 2 breakfasts when split between 3 guys...

I loves me some thick cut bacon

When I find a brunch/breakfast buffet place that has good and unlimited bacon, I just load up on bacon and some fruit.. I probably went through a pound before.

A pound of bacon is one of my favorite snacks.
Maybe throw an egg or two in the mix and you have breakfast.

If bacon ever touches a ziploc bag or goes into the fridge, you're doin it wrong.

I eat a pound in one sitting.

It actually became a problem. I had to stop buying it when I was up to a pound a day; not I only pick up a pound when I need to collect more bacon grease for cooking.

I need to save money by buying the whole damn live pig.
