Kind of an impulse buy on a rare mason's jacket.. size medium, but the cut is really short.

It seems sort of boxy to me. The sleeves are very baggy. Perhaps a 1/4 - 1/2 an inch too long for my taste.

It looks a little loose, but it's hard to tell from those photographs. It would also help to have another picture with the jacket buttoned.

Length wise it is fine. It seems short, doesn't it? It doesn't look bad, my main jacket is about that short and it's fine.

The jacket DOES look like it might be a bit too loose, but it isn't clear unless you post a buttoned pic.

It does look short, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. However, I don't really care for the short length combined with sleeves that fall to the base of your thumb, but I suspect the sleeve length might not look so incongruous when your arms aren't at your sides. How does it look with the cuffs buttoned?

Agreed. I think it's a good jacket, he just needs to wear it differently.

the arms look huge in comparison to the body,which itself looks boxy. i know it's a short jacket, but i think it looks sloppy with the gap between your belt and the jeans, unless it were better fitted.

If the sleeves weren't so long/baggy and the front wasn't so puffy (hence the suggestion of buttoning it up) it would fit perfect.

It looks OK to me, if the sleeves are too long either roll them up (it's a casual jacket) or have them shortened (ITP).

I would at least try it.

No, it doesn't have to be skin-tight; but IMO buttoning up the sleeves to hold them a bit higher on the wrist and maybe buttoning up at least the bottom few buttons will add a bit more shape to the silhouette.

Having shape != skin tight
