How does the "Jackass" crew manage to NOT get killed / paralyzed?

My wife and I watched the newest "Jackass" yesterday. Hilarious movie...but I wonder how is it that no one has managed to get killed or seriously hurt? I just don't understand how a guy like Knoxville can put himself in front of a rampaging bull or buffalo and not worry that he's gonna snap his neck or get his throat impaled by the bull's horn. Am I missing something here?

Johnny Knoxville has a fractured penis. He was on Howard not too long talking about having to loosen up the cartilige in ********* every morning.

I know this is outside your purview, but what if taking drugs, lots of drugs, doesn't bring you the answer to this question, what then?

Yeah, I'm sure that is why he does that.

I don't like vomit, so the "Jackass" stuff never appealed to me.

it is pretty amazing how they can fall off buildings, shoot each other in the face, attack buffalo and whatnot and come out pretty much unscathed, whereas there is a 100% likelihood that if i were to fall down a flight of stairs my spine would snap.

It's all a trick. Those stunts aren't real, they were done with mirrors and lasers.

They are actually pretty careful in the way they set the stunts up, but yeah, their pain tolerance and lack of fear is pretty outstanding. I think the high level of fitness that most of them have also helps.

Danger Ehren (the guy who had the tooth pulled) broke several bones in his face during the filming (the stunt will appear in Jackass 3.5) and there were some other broken bones amongst cast members.

Cruel trick by god. I had a school friend who rode horses all her life. Apparently, less than a year ago, she had an accident, got brain damage and passed away from falling off her horse. Not wishing harm on the jackass crew, but not only are they still alive doing stupid crap, they are millionairres. A$$holes.

That's sorry to hear about your friend, but I don't really see how the two have anything to do with each other.

Let me string together my train of thought for you, since it is a Monday morning. The OP asked how is it that these jackass fools don't get killed or paralyzed with the countless number of stupid, physically harmful (albeit hilarious) stunts they do, some of which, one could reasonably believe to result in serious, permanent physical harm or death. I answered, tongue-in-cheek that it was a cruel trick by god that losers like this can survive these stunts time and time again whereas other folks, like my friend, meet death doing something much less harmful - innocuous even. A cruel trick by god, "That's how."
