How does one go about getting a pair of Custom Alden's made ?

Hi Styleforumers and Alden crew,
Question: How does one go about getting a pair of custom 'Aldens' made?

I have contacted 'Aldens' direct but they have said they are not taking any custom orders at this time?
I've read in these pages (threads) people/stores having specials made - but is that the case for individuals?

Is there a better contact point than just the standard Alden web email address?
