I'm new to the concept of buying a nice suit on ebay, but i have to say i quite like the idea of it, and i don't really have a problem with buying something pre-owned as long as it is in good nick.

With all the stuff out there, and i'm not even close to an expert at knowing what to make of things, i have no idea how to tell just from a few pics and sellers description what something's VALUE is.

Rather than post every single listing i see in this forum for an opinion, is there anything can be said as some guidelines to help a newbie out when surfing ebays deals?

And after two months on this forum I don't really go on ebay much at all anymore. The Buy and Sell forum is fantastic for getting quality new or used stuff at great discounts, often cheaper than ebay.

As for something's "value", I would do some searches and poke around to try to find out what brand names and what to look for to evaluate a garment's quality. As for monetary value, I guess the best way it to see what something is retailing for, online or elsewhere, and compare it with the price you're getting it at. Maybe that last bit wasn't necessary, but ya.
