How do you wear a belt?

I struggle to 'wear' my belt. I always have one on because i dont like to wear my jeans too low, but i dont really know how to get it to show in an outfit. If i am wearing say jeans and a shirt, tucking in the shirt makes my legs look far too long compared to my body, so i generally wear untucked styles. But i feel i am missing out and outfits that show the belt can look awesome.

Some people on here seem to show their belt by wearing short tops. They tend to finish about half way down the belt, and i think this looks pretty good. None of my tops seem to fit at this length though. Has anyone got any advice on how i can incorporate a stylish belt into some of my fits without looking awkward or contrived?

A short belt makes a great headband.

Uhh... It's not like you need a team of us brainstorming for you to figure this out. Tuck or wear a shorter shirt to show the belt. Don't overthink this.

Unless you tuck or let the jeans sag a little, you won't exactly want to let your belt show in the outfit.

If you decide against sagging or tucking fully but still want an exposed belt, you'll 1) be wearing tops that would fit short otherwise or 2) attempt a compromise and tuck in the front of your shirt. Both styles can be seen at Eurotrash themed college parties throughout the US.

Buy shirts that aren't so long. Though seriously, if you try to go for this "look" you'll probably come off as trying too hard, I'd say don't worry about it, it's just a belt that's there to hold up your pants.

It goes well around your neck, especially when hanging in the shower.
