there should be a wall mountable wood rack for hanging belts with the hooks felt covered to protect the buckles from being scratched.

I hang my belts on a rack that has chrome-plated hangers. I haven't noticed any scratching on any of my buckles.

I have a tie hanger rack (I know, I'm probably supposed to roll them up or something) and I just hang them on that. I'm pretty neat and tidy but seriously, belts? just hang em or whatever, they're not going to explode if you store them "wrong"

I hang them on plastic ****** hangers -- just insert the crook of the hanger through the loop before putting it on the rack.

Notice how they aren't even all in the same direction. You can tell he hangs them himself. I'm just proud that he knows how to fold the pants on the crease.
