This is a really interesting question. The funny thing is that I was just thinking about this 5 mins ago when washed my jeans for the second time. It's absolutely beautiful but I thought to myself, its about time to move on. I'm probably going to keep it around but I'm not sure when I'm going to wear it. You never know because I'm actually moving onto a pair of Somets that I found deep in my closet with plenty of life in them.

I have an uncle who is into denim, and he made a stand/sidetable thing out of an old pair. He stuffed the jeans with newspaper, coated 'em with some type of decoupage-type stuff so they would stand freely, and then, after they dried, fitted a board inside the waistband. He then did the same thing with a pair of chucks and attached 'em to the bottom. The whole thing now stands in the corner of his living room with a plant on top.

Might sound janky, but it's actually very cool looking.

This is a cool idea to put in a walk-in closet.

Charity shop. If they don't think they can sell them in store they will sell them to a rag man, so they are recycled at least.

My wife has cut up several pairs of my old jeans and remade then into pairs for my little son. She's done this with other clothes too.

this - i wouldn't just throw them away, materials can be recycled and we can do our part to make the environment a little bit better, no matter how minimal.
There's always goodwill and stuff too.

a quick ebay search shows that few pairs of APCs go for over 100 though.

My old denim jeans just go for recycling, like any other worn-out, unwanted or discarded clothes.

Don't know what the neighbours would make of this though.
