How do you pair lighter colored ties?

I completely agree that lighter ties are difficult to pair properly and work best in spring and summer. I have several beige and off-white ties that I find hard to pair with suits. They have been relegated to sport coat duty, where they now serve admirably, if rarely.

I've reccognized the difficulty in pairing lighter ties with suits and relegate my one light tie to wearing with a sportscoat. The tie has a textured, light tan base with burgundy and blue stripes and pairs well with a darker blue shirt, such as french blue.
