How do you know if pants are too tight?

I recently had my pants altered (buttocks/frontal area taken in and length shortened) and I wore these pants for the first time. They felt fine in the waist but I felt like ****** was "showing off" to everyone at work. I decided to look in the mirror and I noticed I could see my shirt and parts of my boxer briefs from the outside of my pants. I immediately felt like a woman wearing tight spandex pants.

Is this a sign of pants that are too tight? If so, can the tailor make my pants look "normal"?

I'd supply pics but I cant as of this moment.

Please post several pictures with different types of underwear in order for us to accurately gauge the tightness of your trousers.

Yours seem too tight. Seeing underwear lines is pretty crazy.

. . . no thanks to the thongs.

I'm going to stop by my tailor next week and see if he can reverse this unfortunate situation. I think I might just chuck the suit because even the jacket seems a little tight as well.
