How do you keep your collars in good shape

I am far less knowledgeable on this than I should be and have a bit of laziness about caring for clothes to go along with that.

My question is how do you keep your collars and top button areas of your shirts in good shape? I button the top two buttons of my shirts on their hangers, but that's it. They never seem to stay in very good shape though. The top button whole still curls over a bit and my collars have a tendency to spread out.

Are there any special hangers, attachments, care tips, or anything else that help to keep everything in shape? I know about magnetic collar stays, but I was hoping for something I don't have to take on and off every time I put on a shirt.

First, it's perhaps a bit OCD trying to keep everything in military-grade precision shape. I personally find the slightly rumpled look of an unfused collar much more attractive and comfortable. Second, if this is the sort of question you're asking, it's time to go out into the world and do something else. Anything.

If you do it yourself: a good press with a steam iron and perhaps a little starch, otherwise, take it to a shop.
