I think I used to resort to liquor and illicit drugs.

But it's been so long that I can't be certain.

Learn to let go and move on. Meditation is helped. Before that it was punching through walls.

If it's really harsh I guess I'd laugh.

I can't remember the last time it happened though, honestly.

Clearly you haven't been rejected enough. After 100 times or so you don't care any more, because you become focused on winning instead of losing.

I retreat inside myself, severing all emotional ties with human beings, becoming a cold and unapproachable recluse with a heart of stone. Suicide is sure to follow.

Most females won't even make rejections humiliating. Don't even worry about it.

I start throwing chairs and swearing at the person. I promptly throw whatever I am holding at them and then slap them.

Santa outfit, explosives.

Naw, just kidding.

I don't like rejection, but when it happens I ignore it and pretend it never did.

We used to call one of my friends, Mr. Rejection. He's a very smart guy (studied for one night before the LSATs and did extremely well) and reasoned that if he asked out 100 beautiful girls, one of them would say yes.

We'd go to a bar, he'd ask out every single beautiful girl and was shot down and shot down and shot down. By the end of the night, word got around and they'd be telling him no before he could even open his mouth. My friends and I would be laughing our heads off but he never seemed to care.

He married a model.

That is a good one. Enjoyed it. Thanks

Merkur, there really isn't a right nor a wrong way to handle rejection. It hits us faster than we know. The next minute, we feel like we're in a freefall of some sort.

The last time it happened to me, I surprised myself by asking her why she said no, so that I could learn from it and move on, hopefully a tad wiser. It caught her by surprise but she did tell me her reason.

I learnt from that experience and got better at it the next time round.
