I kinda like Chris' fashion, but I guess he could pull it off without having to draw weird looks from public.

I'm also a little into Mika's fashion, which isn't the typical boring stuff you see everyday.

The only problem is, I don't have the guts to try those on, and end up being just normal.

What's the craziest thing you ever did, and how would you advise someone to experiment with less common fashion? Thanks.

That's a good question...what I would probably do if I wanted to experiment is check out the buying and selling forum here for some stuff that looked interesting that you want to try out. You'll pay less than retail and if doesn't work out you could probably just put it back up for sale and lose very little money.

Ordinary stuff is odd fabrics and/or color.

I think Chrono & Yaz have the right idea - no point in investing in big ticket items if you're not sure you will like them....

What's going to determine if you like the style? Will it be how you think you look, or will it be how other people think you look? If it's the latter you are probably in the wrong place.

Like you said, you are confirming to "normal" because you are nervous about getting attention but isn't not being normal the whole point of why you are interested?

If you aren't confident in what you are wearing it greatly aids in you failing the attempt.

Yesterday as I was walking past this derelict-like person, he said something in my direction: "Is that a boy or a girl?"

I took it as a compliment. I was wearing an Holliday & Brown shirt and grey trousers with velvet details with a brown V-neck sweater, nothing exactly gender-bending.

I do see EXTREME confidence from some of the Nu Rave people at clubs. No hate on the style, as I'm an open person. But even with their bubbly personality, and know-how on the culture, I still don't see that fashion working practically, even at clubs.

yes, but they enjoy the way they look wearing it and that's what is important.

Well im am a pretty chicken **** kinda guy when it comes to bucking the norm as to what people wear. But thats because my previous girl friends wanted me to look like any other jock you see walking around and have no sense of individuality.

Im sorry but I don't like wearing a football jersey thats an XXL and big baggy jeans. Why some girls find that attractive I don't know.

I don't have allot of money right now so im basicly stuck wearing older style clothes that were on sale, and don't have the up-to-date look. I'd like to get some skinny jeans, but im not really that skinny, and don't have to money to buy the +$100 designer jeans.

I've seen a couple guys rocking kilts, and they don't look that bad as well as look pretty comfortable. That has takes balls to be a dude and wear a skirt like a kilt. Thats about the extreme you can experiment with fashion as a guy. If I were to try one it would have to be more mainstream, and this is something I'd like to see go mainstream.
