Looks to be thick hair, fine in diameter, medium in length and straight in type.

I would say pomade if looking for a medium hold and high shine, and I would say clay for a medium hold and low shine. (Clay can increase to a high hold and medium shine if applied to damp hair, however)

The nice thing about both clay and pomade is that they can be touched and restyled throughout the day, whereas once you touch gel, it flakes, loses it character, and it must be re-energized with water.

Gel needs to stay in the 80's and 90's where it belongs, along with mousse.

Thank you so much! So pomade or clay would work best? Also, what are your thoughts on hairspray? Thanks again.

hairspray holds the texture that you first created so if texture has been taken care of the look should stay the same when hairsprayed

Hello! I was wondering how one would go about getting this hairstyle would you use gel, pomade, wax etc. Thanks (by the way, I am not going to make my hair look like this).

I would do this:
First iron the hair, then blowdry to give it a more natural fall.
Use gel on the tip of your fingers and make the spikes with them rubbing a little bit and rolling thew fingers.
Then hairspray so that the style gets fixated.
cheers bro
