How do you get out of a speeding ticket?

So I just got stopped by a NC motorcycle patrolmen and written up for going 15 miles over the speed limit (60 in a 45, in the middle of nowhere). He had me dead to rights, so I'm not mad that I got nipped, I'm just sad that I'm broke and stupid. I don't have the option to pay by mail and there's no dollar amount written on the ticket, so I'll be going in to the courthouse next month on pain of death to be fined to my face.

What can I do to get out of it? What should I wear to court?

Talk to the prosecutor, and ask to plead it down to a non-moving violation. If your record is clean, and you can atleast half bullshit with him/her you will get a fine and be outta there!

Keep asking for continuances until the officer doesn't show up. If you're Pro Se that should help you.

You should wear a tie to court, savage.

it doesnt work that way. you get a ticket, you go to traffice court, the judge doesnt care less what you wear.

what he does care for is quick speedy decision on your part, not guilty/guilty. and some courtesy respect to him.

you can try to plea not guilty and go take a chance to see if the cop does not show up.
but statistics show that motorcycle cops will show up to your appearance. they also get a bonus for every court appearance (at least in cities in orange county, ca).

and if you are found guilty, you will revoke your privileges to traffic school, and perhaps pay the maximum for fine.

if you plea guilty and show some respect to the judge, more likely than not, he will reduce your fine to a minimum if he can.

there is no way out of a traffic ticket once you received one.

Actually, he got me by sight, and just yesterday I put new tires on the thing. They're standard, but I've been driving semi-soft for awhile beforehand. I doubt mentioning that will help, so I'll probably keep my mouth shut and save my dignity for the begging though.

how does changing your tire size affect the situation? It would only matter if the cop's tires were wrong AND he was tailing you, not radar gunning.
