for me, it's no money, no problem...

but I do sometimes use the 24 hour rule, sleep on it, because once its brought home, you realize it just doesn't look as quite nice as you put it on while in the store.

I have a really big spreadsheet with all of the things I want, categorized into three columns: "High priority," "Medium Priority," and "Low Priority." It helps to curb spending by reminding me what I really need. I have it stored on my phone.

No spreadsheet on earth could stop me when I enter a Savile row tailor and i start looking at the fabrics.

My mind starts automatically looking for cross-cutting measures to allow me to get that suit.

I have a very ambivalent relationship with Style Forum.

The forum has definitively contributed to my actual addiction but it has also helped stopping buying poorly made designer garnments to enter the beautiful world of Bespoke.

It is an interesting paradox but i try now to restrain my purchases to only a few yearly projects and i find the all process more likely to cal me down and avoid the monthly adrenaline rush around London.
