How do you develop a style that isn't just a current fad?

One way is to buy clothing that tends toward classic. Brooks Brothers is such a store (chain). Two more stores -- each with a bit more color than Brooks -- include Paul Stuart and Ben Silver.

Find a haberdashery in your area that tends classic ... next find a salesman there who knows his stuff ... and stick with both.

Wearing some stuff that's current is certain since it's what in shops. I figure though, if I wear what I like for 10 years, it will become more personal naturally.
