    Do you guys separate suits for work, party, dinner etc? If so, what's the determining factor for your suit to be in a certain category?

    Casual: Linen and cotton suits, Work/Business: anything normal navy or charcoal suits, and Nighttime suits: Black suits

    Factor in determining what goes where is color first then material.

    I divide them into dress, city and weekend.

    Weekend includes tweed, linen, and anything brown.

    Warm weather versus colder weather suits, and in order of which suits have been worn most recently so I can wear them as evenly as posssible.

    I usually look at details and materials to determine how formal the suit looks. Pockets, shoulder padding/width, button stance, etc.

    Formal->Business->Casual, then by color.
