I ordered the h&m slim fit suit in 36R on ebay.

I'm 5'9 125 pounds and was going to opt for the 34R but it only came in poly/rayon so i dropped the extra $50 to get wool.

Do these suits run small or large? If I get it tailored in, will it look good?

THANKS!

Good choice on spending the extra $ for the wool. It'll pay off in the long run. My friends told me they like the cut and that it's slim, but I have no personal experience. Try a search!

Check PandArts' fits in the WAYWRN thread. He's got a bunch of H&M suits.

I have one linen suit from H&M and both the jacket and the trousers ran small.

I actually own one suit from H&M. I have slim build and prefer slim fit suits, and H&m suit did a good job at that. It was on sale for 50$. Can't go wrong with that. I got lots of compliments on it from work.

I love their end-of-season sales.
I picked up several 4-5 suit jackets on sale for 35$ each, to wear to school or casually.
I am surprised, because I didn't expect them to last long. However 2 years passed, and they look fine.
However their corduroy jacket lost its look (poor quality fabric).

Also I own white Linen blazer from H&M. Given that white clothes always get some kind of stain that you can't get rid of, it was a good deal and I wouldn't feel too bad if it gets dirty. However Linen 2 years later it did loose shape, and doesn't fit or look as crisp anymorer. Still a good run for two summer seasons for 50 bucks.

They are very short, though. If you are above 5'10", they will look ridiculous. Probably best for a 5'8".
