Are they going to be really baggy on a slim guy like their shirts?

I've only worn one BB sweater, it was cotton in size M. Fit was a bit baggy and arms were rather long.

i was given a BB cashmere v-neck sweater last year. it was decent quality, arms were a *tad* bit long, but overall fit was comfortable, not too tight nor too baggy. definitely a good layer item.

I have found BB sweaters to be almost hilariously oversized. a good layer item if you wear 3 or 4 shirts underneath.

I am a 36R and their size "small" is much too large.

A small is not terrible for a 38R. Still on the loose side, however.

    So would a 40/42 be a S or M?

    I would think a 40 would be a small, and a 42 a medium, but that's just a guess.

well, of course. 36R is supposed to be smaller than most "smalls", especially if you want a fitted look.

I should add I'm a compact 38R and prefer size Small for many clothes.

Does anyone know how a boys size large would fit? I've tried an XL, and it was still too big on me. I have a size large sweater vest that fits me perfectly, but I'm wondering if the arms are going to be really short...

I actually wear the boys size L sweaters. They fit me (36R) pretty well. The only annoying thing is that some BB things in the larger boys sizes are for "husky" boys and those things fit terribly.

Do you have any experience with their boys jackets and trousers? I'm assuming those would need to be tailored quite a bit?

The ones large enough to fit me in the shoulders are always way too boxy through the chest and waist.

BB sweaters in size Small fit me well. However, I do a hot wash and hot dry when I wash them for the first time. They shrink down to fit me perfectly. I like them so much I bought half a dozen of the pima cotton ones.

I wear a size 42L coat, and almost invariably wear size L shirts and sweaters. I have a size medium BB sweater that fits me very well. So consider going down a size.
