I think we share a similar affliction. The girls I take the most interest in are always unavailable on some level.

I am exactly the same way, and people have accused me of only going after unavailable women, because I have a fear of commitment or something. But I mean, if they are really that great, there are others who agree with me, and they would already be taken by someone who's met her before I have. And of course, it's not very gentlemanly to be a breaker of relationships.... Anyway, it's minorly annoying.

I was sure after the first date and ready to propose after the second date. I knew she was smart and good looking after the first date, but on the second date, when she cooked me an incredible 6 or 7 course meal -- and made it all look so easy, and romantic -- I was hooked. For the third date (third day in a row, after the first two days/dates), we went hiking on an incredibly rocky trail in the afternoon (she made it hardly breaking a sweat) and then she surprised me with Redskins football tickets for that evening's game. It was impossible not to fall for her! I proposed about 9 months later.

Whoa, now that is a woman [IMG]

My girl is a great cook too. When she was in town she would make dinner for me all the time and even get up 3 hours before she had to, to make me breakfast while I was in the shower (she didnt go to school till 930am I left her place at 7am daily for class at 730am). Only girl to ever do that for me.

Heh, believe it or not she would always unlock the driver door for me when she was in the states. Looks like I have a winner.
Also I could never figure out what movie that quote was from but I think its on an old Ataris song or something

It's in the song Super Mario Brothers by Benefit.

I'm unqualified to answer this question because every women I was certain was the one was already married (and I've never been).
I don't mean to be an ass, but if I dated married women iit would hardly be something I would want other people to know about me.

if you need to ask this question in refernce to a girl..then shes def not "the one"

    IMO this is true.

Let's see, some traits that made a strong bond with my wife pre-marriage...
-First date was over 6 hours and not 1 second of awkward silence, great chemistry and friendship from the start - very easy to communicate with.
-Identical values, even though that wasn't obvious from the start
-As cheesy as it sounds, she made me want to be a better man
-I'm more proud, attracted, and in awe of her than anyone else I've ever known

-In the end it's just that "feeling," however, if you've had that feeling with the last 6 girls you've dated then don't use it anymore [IMG]

Sounds like a keeper. I can't imagine being married to someone who isn't a decent cook, or at least where one of us is a decent cook. It makes so many social occasions easier -- dinner parties, family gatherings, having the boss/co-workers over for dinner, etc. -- and less stressful.

I think you're being hard on him. The fact is some attached women, and I don't distinguish between married or in a long-term relationship, go looking for trouble. I'm sure their reasons are numerous, but they're gonna cheat with someone. I doubt he's actively going out of his way to break-up healthy marriages. If the woman is cheating, there's probably something wrong and it's got nothing to do with him. The woman shouldn't be cheating, but I can't see how he is at fault. Besides who is he to deny her sex? [IMG]

Seriously though, I'd never turn a girl away b/c she was married, but I would have serious thoughts about entering in to a relationship with her given her propensity to cheat.

This seems to be what most men think. Girls don't seem to see it like that (or are deceiving themselves to see otherwise).

Unless I knew and hated the guy, I would feel like I was betraying HIM. Bad, bad karma IMO.

And you may end up shot, beat up, your tires slashed, who knows what else and be on CNN versus SF.

But most of the time you don't know him except as some guy that for whatever reason isn't satisfying his woman... If we're talking about having an affair with your friend's wife it's a different issue altogether.
