I feel like in winter, it's easier to pull that look off, since you can wear boots, dark jeans, black jackets, and all that jazz(not that I'm trying to imply that is all it takes to make someone look badass--just that those are often used in such a manner).
However, when it gets hot, those types of items of clothing are just too uncomfortable. Even wearing the color black can be killer. But what if someone doesn't want to wear boat shoes, khaki shorts cut above the knee, and light-colored polos tucked in? Is there a middle ground here where one can still maintain some semblance of looking good without looking like they must be sweating like a horse or going to play croquet and take tea with the queen?
