First, I'm not in the fashion business, but I'd like to keep up with current trends etc. Sadly, GQ magazine and Details don't do it for me.

I used to work for a contractor to Dell computer and I started getting inundated with all these computer trade publications at one point in my life. I wonder if there's a way to get stuff like this for men's fashion. I enjoy looking at stuff online, but I also like the printed press. Thanks.

I guess I wanted to get "free" pubs. Thanks, anyway.

Well it certainly isn't free but I was turned onto The Rake and I'd say it's worth every penny. Great publication

I was just discussing with someone how expensive The Rake is.. It's a pity, but you're right. It's darn expensive.

My wife is from Philippines. I can get a yearly subscription to be sent to her parents home for only $85.00.

In Dubai we have The Rake Middle East. It is sold at $10.88 per issue. It is basically copy and past from the Singaporean edition (60%) and the balance is local publishing. Not as good as The Rake Singapore,

There are 2 separate things with The Rake. The subscription and the back issues.

The subscription can be gotten fairly cheaply in the Far East. The back issues, however, are $30 a piece and they don't budge on the price.

Then there is shipping the thing, which is a story to itself, it is heavy as hell.

Well you can either pay for the luxury of having a nice periodical that is well curated or go buy GQ for $15 a year with shit articles based on products that pay and no emphasis on quality...

I will take the Rake hands down and I am certainly not in a position where $130 is no big deal. I just have experience with it and choose that the price is worth the article.

buy one off of the B/S forum if you can and see. That's how I started.
