the pants i cuff are 1.75" i am thinking about trying 2" but not yet got that far - it will be after chinese new year now before my next round of things made!

i think that 1.5' is too small but the best thing to take into consideration your hight also the size of you feet too and play around to try and find the right balance!

2" always. I also cuff all but my most casual flat fronts.

I only cuff some, not all, suit pants. Depends on the cut, fabric, pattern, my mood... About 1.5", never more than 1.75".

BWT, the second choice should <= 1.5"

My pants are cuffed at 1.75

For me, I think this is the right balance of having a substantial cuff without it looking too big.

About 20% of my pants have no cuffs, because I like the streamlined look on occassion.

I think that the important thing is not the length as such, but the overall impression the cuff gives, and this will depend on, inter alia, the length of the pants. I mean, you would never ask: "how long should the tie be in cm/inches, counted from the knot?"

I´ve even got some odd trousers cuffed at 2 3/4", but while I like the look I´d have to agree that this is rather whimsical. Usually, if I have my trousers cuffed it will be at 2".

Is it not the norm/tradition to cuff pleated pants and not cuff flat front?

I'm glad this has come up as I just ordered 2 pairs of pleated slacks and will have to address the cuff issue next week!

Generally, I leave my tapered trousers, 'package pants' and cotton casuals un-cuffed. Otherwise, 1.5" (I think)....
