How are these used Park Avenues?

Hello forum, first time poster here. I am 21 and very new to the whole spending good money on good shoes thing. After about a week of browsing and perusing these forums, I'm trying to get a pair of the standard Park Avenues. I found this pair on eBay and am currently the high bidder at $39. I understand it would have made more sense to ask this question before bidding, but $39 seems like nothing for these shoes, so I impulsively bid. I'm currently the high bidder, keeping my fingers crossed.

Though it's only forty bucks, do these look like they are worth it? FWIW, I asked the lady selling the shoes about the apparent specks and here is her response: "Hi.There are no marks on the leather .It has to be my camera.Soles are attaches as new..Nothing wrong with the shoes,gently used."

For $39 they aren't bad.

They look fine. If you walk around a lot, you can put that much damage on outsoles in a couple of days. No serious marking on the upper at all. Those would be a steal at twice the price.

ive been following black PAs for the last few days on ebay. Some went as low as $31 total (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=290296252260) and some as high as $140 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=380103268888) . Yours seem closer to the $31 pair to me. Id put in a bid for $50 and let it ride. You'll prob win them.

what size are you? I have some Allen Edmonds I need to get rid of, size 10.5 i think.

It's too late now, but ask the seller for close ups and different angles next time. Spots might appear from 1 angle but not the other. Also pictures of the arch would help as some people scuff that part the most....

Wow, someone paid that much for used AEs? What a sucker. Also, retail of $365???? What BS.
