They're having a sale and I can get 3 shirts for $150. Are they of any good qualities?

As many on this forum have said, their non-irons "wear like a tent". The material (especially for the solid colors) are quite stiff.

I found that some of their shirts are quite decent, especially if you are only beginning to build your wardrobe.

i get the slim fit shirts. they're slim, but not anorexic slim, which works for me at 6'1" and a 35-36 inch waist. overall, they're okay for basic shirts.

Their non-iron slim fit shirts have gotten me out of quite a few pickles and I'm glad I have a couple of them. They're good for when you've been too busy to pick up your shirts from the cleaners (or, god forbid, too busy to wash and iron them for those of you that do that sort of thing) and need a shirt to get you over the hump. Just wash them, hang them up, and the next day they're ready to wear without any ironing. They're not the most luxurious things in the world, but I wouldn't regret buying a few of them just to have them on hand.

Also, I dont think that 3-for-150 is a sale. Unless I'm misremembering, I've
seen a sign announcing that price at my local Brooks Bros for many months.

The BB traditional oxford cloth button downs are some of my favorites (not the non-iron ones). I think they are one of the best dress or dress casual shirts you can buy for under $100 from a construction/longevity standpoint. They are, however, cut very full through the waist, which is not to everyone's liking.

So Where would one go for "Superior" shirts in that price range or for $100-$120??

Best Regards,

It's a sale. The regular price is 3 for $189. Whenever BB runs a 25% off sale, they may drop the price to 3 for $149.

$100-120 probably brings you to the door of Thomas Pink. Not quite Turnbull and Asser or Charvet but very nice-feeling fabrics.

The made in USA non-non iron OCBD's are still pretty good. They used to be better though, judging by the ones I've seen that were made between the 70's and mid 80's. A shirt of similar quality today would probably cost over $100, though, so it's hard to blame Brooks for making something to the level that their customers are willing to pay for.

Don't get me started on how much better the shoes, the sweaters, and the entry-level suits used to be (but I'm talking about at least 30 years ago).

It might bring you to the door, but you won't be walking out with a shirt unless it's on sale.

No comparison to the fabrics used by Turnbull. No comparison to the fabrics and construction quality (shanked buttons!) of Charvet.

My only Th. Pink shirt was of older vintage and it got appropriated by a girlfriend four years ago. It was pretty darn fine and I own several T&As Charvet, Lorenzini, etc.
