How are Canali ties?

I saw some... They looked fairly nice.

I was wondering how is the quality?


better than Zegna?

On par or better than Brioni?

I love them. They are the perfect thickness for a great FIH knot. They are also woven from what I own and have seen, whereas many Zegnas are printed. I really like Canali ties.

My limited experience echoes z's. They're usually woven and thick, a different sort of beast than most Zegnas (although I like Zegna ties). Canali ties are a particular favorite of forumnite JLibourel, who I believe stated he just picked up his 16th Canali.

the canalis ive seen are very good but not to the level of the brionis i have seen.
i do believe jan libourel gets his canali ties at the saks outlet in orange, where there is a great selection there. sometimes they do have some great sales .

I must have about 10 Canali ties and I love them too. While perhaps not as nice as some Brioni or Zegna Couture ties, they are probably the best tie for the money - especially at discount <$50. As others have said, the weaves are thick and tie beautiful knots and they are not as delicate as Charvet, which is a good thing imo. Also, the patterns are generally conservative with a bit of Italian flair and you'll never see a garish Canali.

I agree. I have half a dozen Canali ties and they are an excellent value...they have a very substantial feel and really do make a great FIH knot.

Heavy, substantial silk with conservative patterns. I would rate the construction better than Zegna and perhaps comparable to Brioni, but with heavier silk. However, I usually like Brioni and Zegna styling better than Canali. I own 3-4 Canali ties and one of them is one of the few ties I have bought at full retail (i.e. 20% off during a Nordstrom sale, $72 IIRC). So, if you find a pattern you like, they're excellent ties.

Dissenting voice. I had one and it was a nice conservative tone. But it never knotted right. It was a wool tie, and perhaps that had something to do with it. But I ended up sending it the Salvation Army.

Just answered this on AAAC. I have no experience with Borelli ties. I compared them to some of the other marques I have owned on AAAC. These include Charvet, Brioni, Kiton, Zegna, Battistoni, Bizzochi, Altea, Hield, Talbott and a number of others I can't remember at the moment.

How about Canali exclusive line ties?Do they compare with kiton,brioni or marinella,stefano ricci?Exclusive line ties are very rare ,they are self-tipped.
