Royals fans can start complaining to me when they have lost their 119th game this season.

Finally! Two wins in a row. Are any of you planning to attend the Tigers-Cubs series at Wrigley Field this weekend?

Either Saturday or Sunday, haven't decided yet.

We're approaching historic ineptitude--and now their solution is to pull the press credentials of 2 local reporters for actually asking some halfway decent questions; great job, David Glass.

Tiger season ticket holder right here . . . God bless them.

I'm not expecting them to suddenly be World Series champs, but this year has been wonderful.

As for ballparks, I just got back from Cleveland where I went to Jacob's Field with a client . . . wow, what a nice ballpark. I hate to say it, but it's much nicer than Comerica. [IMG]

What a great win by the Tigers last night. I don't know how long they can keep it up, but it has been great after what we have been through around here!!! Fire Millen!!!

Comerica Park, while not offensive, misses the mark in so many ways. Great sight lines, but many seats are so far back that the players look like ants. The tasteless "sculptures" add nothing to the park. I love seeing the city outline beyond the park. I do miss the rustic, sometimes dirty, sometimes sweaty, atmosphere of Tiger Stadium. One could, almost, smell the ball when it was hit.

You've captured my thoughts exactly. Truly if you have a chance, check out Jacob's field in Cleveland, they did just about everything right. Very open, great flow, lots of different restaurants, a nice club restaurant, and the stands (all of them) are infinitely closer to the action.

When I was there, they were going around the crowd near our seats and interviewing fans. I was going to say "Go Tigers and Go Blue" if they got to me, although my colleague insisted that we wouldn't make it out alive if I did. [IMG]

This may sound odd, but I miss that old rickety chain covered skywalk they had at Tiger Stadium.

That is true "character" that no architect could ever recreate. I have heard nothing but praise for Jacob's field. I hope to visit it someday.

4 wins in a row for our Tigers!!! Iw onder how long they can hold on because the Chisox are a great team and I think Cleveland will get hot the second half just like they did last year.[IMG]

I am a red sox fan, and every recent season (look at last year) that my sox start off well, the yankees come back. They could be 5-6 games up on the yankees halfway through, but the yankees are a good team and good teams play well late in the season. The yankees came back in September last year. They eneded up winning the division by 0 games (they won the season series against the red sox)

The whitesox have great pitching and of course a great offense. They have proven themselves as a great all around team, only getting better in the off season. I imagine the whitesox will win the division, regardless of what we have seen so far. I think tigers fans should be looking to come away with the AL wildcard spot. Also, young teams don't often have the depth that veteran teams do. A single injury could really set the team back. Likewise, the long season could fatigue players and slow the momentum down.

I say good luck. I enjoy going to the tigers games this season. The crowd is bigger and more in to it. If this season continues to go well, it could really help the franchise get out from under the rock they've been living under for the past 10 years.

My prediction, which is worth what you're paying for it, is that the Bosox will win their division, with the Yankees winning the AL wildcard (despite Detroit and Toronto mounting valiant efforts), and that Chicago will also be division champs.

I will be happy if my Tigers just challenge for the wildcard spot.

I'm definitely more worried about Cleveland than I am Detroit (sorry Detroiters) - not that the Sox are without their troubles this year, but you can see the White Sox starting to put the pieces together - the more one run games they win the better. I also think that before too long, either Garland or Garcia will be traded for more depth in the bullpen or an outfielder, and McCarthy will move up into the rotation, where he really belongs anyway. And that should be the final touches needed for the Sox to at least stay ahead and clinch their division.
