How about this dinner jacket, then?

Some of you raised good points about the last one I looked at that had wide lapels and all. So, how about this one? Again, measurements are looking good, and it looks to have a decent amount of fittedness being from the '60s. Shawl lapels aren't really "in" right now, but I don't care since they're a little better for my physique than peaks. Not quite sure how I feel about the braided stripe. I'd be willing to pay the big shipping cost since this is in pretty good condition apart from that spot they point out, which I doubt anyone will notice unless I told them as well. Opinions?

I give it two thumbs up.

I like it better than the Zegna tux I just picked up. I think the lapels on my new one may be too wide (not to mention peaked ... but they looked so good in Casino Royale).

The seller states, "there is a faint small spot on the right lapel which can be seen in the picture". It won't come out.

Peaked lapels can look great, but I generally prefer high-fastening shawl collars on dinner jackets. It's yet another thing that distinguishes formal clothes from business attire.

Except for the spot, which as Tomasso suggests may be ruinous (it's hard to say from the picture), I think the jacket looks good. And if I'm not mistaken this one would be better for you in terms of certain measurements (waist perhaps?) than the three-piece suit.
