I'm looking for a tailor recommendation in Houston, TX. The last thread to address this was in 2011 and the city has grown immensely since that time. I am in need of a reputable tailor that can help me in putting together a suit for my wedding.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Newcomer is a member here. He's currently having a suit made by Despos, who AFAIK are located in Chicago but also have a workshop in either Dallas or Houston. Try to PM him, or Despos directly, he's a member here too.

Edwin and Matthew DeBoise of Steed (http://www.steed.co.uk/en/home/) are considering adding Houston to their itinerary if there is sufficient interest locally to support them. They offer both semi-bespoke (MTM) and full bespoke, and the style is very "soft" as you would expect of an Anderson & Sheppard alumnus: well suited to our climate. If you are interested please reach out to them (http://www.steed.co.uk/en/contact/) to let them know.

If you're just looking for alterations (it sounds like you want more, though), the tailor (pablo) that works out of R. Rose Clothier downtown is good.

I highly recommend Mr Santos, though I have only done major alterations with him, never anything approaching a bespoke commission. He is very skilled, reasonably priced, and the nicest man you will ever meet.

Hi Gents,

As Tex has kindly pointed out, both my Father, Edwin and I will be visiting Houston for the first time this upcoming October. This is now confirmed and we will be meeting with people on Friday, 16th October, staying at the Granduca Hotel.

The full trip details can be found via the link below.

If you are interested, I visit Houston and Dallas at least three times each year. On two of these occasions I travel with george Glasgow of Cleverly Shoes in London. Although I reside and work in NYC, George and I go back a long way. When we realized we were going to the same cities about the same time, we decided to go at the same time.

Probably/possibly I'll be adding Austin to my list very soon
