1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

My rock and republic jeans I just bought... $230 at nordstrom, hemmed to fit my shorter legs. That or the 2 pairs of versace and 2 pairs of prada glasses I got along with the d&g's. The plus side of working at sunglass hut.

oh wow I didn't know costco sells them... that kinda changes my opinion a little bit. They feel real comfortable to me and look good in my opinion, but I didn't know they were THAT common as to be sold at a place like costco.. weird. So I see A.P.C. is a brand people like on this board?

I don't get it why some people who are into streetwear/urbanwear or the likes love to brag about the price of what they bought. Should I now respect someone because he blew his half his piggy bank money on some pair of denim pants?

think what you want, I don't care. If it makes me look like a tool because I spent so much then think it, I'm not telling you to think I'm "cool."

Seems the same to me as the ones who brag here because they paid $1000 for a pair of shoes or $5000 for a suit ...

I agree with lakewolf. I saw people posting prices all over and didn't think I'd get flamed for including the price of something I bought. It seems there's a little tension between the "classy" and the "urban wear" people. So far my impression of this forum has gone far down hill from the utter rude responses I've recieved for perfectly legitimate posts. If I wanted to brag I could have said much more. Some people just need to get off their high horses and realize a thousand posts on some internet forum doesn't make them all knowing and better then everyone else. Peace[IMG]

    Well said rsemans...

But don't get dissapointed by the snobbery and odd sense of humour of some members... You can still find very useful advice here ( if you set other things appart )

Most (but not all) of the price-quoting that goes on on this side of the forum (I have no idea about Streetwear; I don't play over there...) is in the way of, "I got these $1,000 shoes (or whatever) for $250! With free shipping! That is, it's not about "how much I paid," but "how much I saved." Why is that different? I don't know. It's just part of the SF ethic for some to pay as little as possible for things with high retail prices.

"Look at my button down striped shirt! F*cking look at it! This shirt means one thing! I'm coming home with some p*ssy tonight! That's right! It's been a long week at the Jiffy Lube and it's time to blow off a little steam!

My boys are coming out with me tonight! They all have striped shirts too! One of them is high on Meth! Two are prepubesent! But we got fake IDs!

I can almost taste those Jäger Bombs right now! I f*cking love Red Bull! I put it on my God damned cereal! And I love Heineken! I'm crushing one right now!

I'm gonna fight someone tonight! I pray to God someone makes eye contact with me! I will beat his ass all the way back to New Jersey! And God help him if he gets any blood on my striped shirt! If he does, I'll scrub it out with his dick and some bleach! I mean it!

I'm gonna grind on girls asses tonight! You heard me! When I see a group of girls dancing in a circle, I will select the most attractive one and dry hump her until it hurts! I will rub my cock against her so that she can feel my throbbing hard on!

I will call female bartenders "Babe" and male bartenders "Brah"!

When I do not hook up with a girl at that club, I will say that the place is "full of skanks"! We will wait in a long line to go to another bar only to strike out again!

I will give up and decide to order a gyro off of a street vendor! I will make fun of him to my friends for being foreign! Oh wait, he's my uncle Vinnie! I will look ridiculous purchasing my gyro because people will be able to tell by my striped shirt and tinted sunglasses that I struck out and am settling for a gyro!

I will make one last attempt to hook up by trying to coax two big girls who are also ordering gyros to coming back to my place for an "after hours oil check"! When they say no I will make fun of them for being fat! I will leave!

I will then go to my room and pass out! I will need some shut eye so that I'll be ready to fucking party again tomorrow in my striped shirt!"
