Hotels near New York City Center

I'll be in NYC next month to see the Kirov Ballet at City Center. Any suggestions for a hotel near the City Center? The center's website suggests 3 hotels: Le Parker Meridien, Park Central, and Flatotel. The hotel doesn't have to be fancy, but closer to the center would be nicer.

Le Parker Meridien is a nice hotel, very good location, and the burgers are tops. I haven't stayed in a hotel in NYC in a long time, so I have no idea what prices look like these days.

Yes, Le Parker Meridian is nice. Their breakfast is great - and if you want to splurge, you can order the $1000.00 omelet.

I've also stayed at the Park Central. It's not NY's finest but it's cheap.

Agreed on the Meridien. I think it's only one or two blocks away and the food is quite good.

I can't comment on the lodging since I've never stayed there.
