I searched under this topic and couldn't find anything so here it goes.

I need to get some new brushes for a couple of new colors of shoes I have (shades of brown).

Are most horsehair brushes the same or are there significant differences? I've seen some good-sized ones at the Johnston and Murphy store for $6.50 and some at Allen Edmonds for $7.00.

    Thanks for your input.

Buy the larger, longer versions - they shine better.
