I have three pair. All are made in Germany. Two are from Friederich's & Campbell, which has stores in Manhattan, West Palm Beach, Hamburg and Berlin. http://www.friedrichsundcampbell.de/ The other is branded Lunor. $500 sounds about right. Maybe a little more.

Hoffman, a German firm. Made from the horns of water buffalo. A little hard to find in the US, but there are dealers. Ben Silver and Louis Boston used to have them. A little more than $500.

I was at my optometrist today and he informed me that in particular there is no room for adjustment with horn. That the side arms once made can't be adjusted to fit, so I guess my question is

a) what are peoples experience like? could you have them adjusted?

b) did you have to go bespoke and have them individually fitted?

c) has the optometrist got it wrong?

advice would be appreciated, thanks
