I am seeking suggestions for lightweight hopsack suiting--preferably around 8 to 10 oz.
Many thanks.

Do you mean fresco? The stuff my tailor calls "summer hopsack" is, apparently, actually fresco.

You mean something like JJ Minnis fresco 8/9 and 9/10 or H&S Crispaire? Dormeiul has some wool/mohair blends around 9/10.

Pretty much what the Foo said. . .

Good questions, but, no, not fresco or any fresco-like cloth (like Crispaire). I like the lighter Minnis Fresco a lot, but what I have in mind is an actual hopsack (basketweave) cloth that would work for summer suiting. I figured that, somewhere out there, there's an 8 oz. open weave hopsack.

I think it has been confirmed that Crispaire is a standard plain weave, but, at a first glance, it looked to my eyes like a hopsack. It would be great if H&S heeded the example of Minnis and offered a lightweight version of Crispaire--around 8 or 8.5 oz.
