Hong Kong shopping

I could only find MC threads about shopping in Hong Kong.

Anyways, I'm heading to Hong Kong for a couple of days, but besides the standard fare (Lane Crawford, Harvey Nics) I don't really know where to go. Suggestions of any cool shops/boutiques will be much appreciated.

Thank you

Giordano, Yishion, G2000 and Texwood, all pretty much standard fare for that part of the world, but I quite like their stuff and not outrageously expensive either.

The I.T. stores have a lot of goodies. Lane crawford at IFC building is the best one imo.

For Streetwear and Denim, take 5 is a good choice, but also consider the vintage shops around take five, I recall there are 2-3 vintage jacket shop, but I only knew their chinese names.......

Depends what are you into? I suggest do not buy anything from Lane Crawford or Harvey Nic because you probably can find the stuff elsewhere, and they are not that cheap.

Giordano and G2000 seem like HK Banana Republics to me. Nothing worth buying there. Never heard of the other two brands.

Check out INK if you're into the avant garde stuff.

Do not go to giordano or g2000. Just basic stuff you can buy else where.

Is there any difference in the buying/concept in each lane crawford?

Thanks for the suggestions. Definitely gonna hit up Take 5 and the I.T stores

Check out kapok in Wan Chai - it's down a little side street. It's a little boutique store that sells nice things. The only brands I can remember are Mismo and Common Projects. http://ka-pok.com/ There's another boutiquey clothes store around there somewhere but it was closed when I went past. Frosted windows and shifty looks and everything...!

In Tsing Yi, there is a outlet shopping center, that is worth while to go http://www.maritimesquare.com/eng/index.asp Also In Kalnoon, there is a new shopping center called 'Element' Both of them are assessable via MTR, the service is extremely reliable (unlike London tube), relatively inexpensive But seriously, you got to hit Armory in Central, if you want to buy any nice hardcore dress shoe For Lane Cawford, Tsim Sha Tsui ocean terminal has better female stock, so if you have a female friend and seeking for high end female clothing the Ocean Terminal is definitely your choice. Check out Ice-fire, they are also a well known clothing store in HK, selling vintage apparel, there are few shops, I think there is one in Mong Kok which is the oldest store....

I miss the days when the Space shop on Ap Lei Chau had Helmut, Prada, Jil, and Church's all under the same roof at good prices.

Don't forget Uniqlo and H&M at multiple locations around the city (check their websites).
