1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

+1. Having seen the last couple years' pics I'm half tempted to make the 10 hr round trip drive and crash the party.

Do I have to have barbecue sauce for any heathens who might eat the wrong way?

Wish I could. Biggest weekend of the year for booze sales. I get the pleasure of taking boxes from point A and arranging them neatly at point B. It's a great way to spend a weekend.

Sales is way harder than I thought it'd be. Much more rewarding as well.

this was the best year ever. sorry, I didn't take many pictures of the finished product, or the grilled meats. we ended up with about 175 people, more or less. 4 flat briskets, 2 full shoulders of pork, 100 lamb kababs, 100 sates, 100 chicken wings and 100 hot dogs for the kids, Mexican style grilled corn, 4 sides of salmon, plus sides and beer.

this year I had a couple of high schools girls help with the serving, which made the whole thing a lot more enjoyable for me, cause I could hang out. I got most of the smoking done on the day before.
